Jessie (she/her), a co-coordinator of this year’s Action For Animals forum, has facilitated and participated in animal rights activism for nearly two decades. A long-time vegan, she has facilitated and engaged in various forms of activism for animals, including political, grassroots, disruptive, direct action, public demonstrations and protests. A mental health occupational therapist by day, Jessie is passionate about unpacking the barriers to vegans engaging in activism, and supporting vegans to practice self-compassion and nervous system regulation. She will be hosting both the “Local Activism” panel and the “Barriers To Engaging in Activism” discussion circle at this year’s forum.
