Protect QLD's Sth East Forests
Action type
Petition
50,000 hectares of South East Qld bushland – more than 30,000 Gabba stadiums – sits in limbo.
These forests — from Noosa to the NSW border — are already loved and used by thousands. They’re where we hike, ride, camp and connect with nature. They’re also home to threatened species like the greater glider, spotted-tailed quoll, and glossy black cockatoo.
In late 2024, native logging officially ended across nearly 70,000 hectares of state forests in South East Queensland. It was a big step forward — but for around 50,000 hectares of that land, there’s still no plan.
