Save Ormiston koalas!

Clearing has commenced at Ormiston College in the Redlands, where more than 650 trees within mapped Core Koala Habitat are approved for removal. The Animal Justice Party Queensland has put together an action page and template letter urging federal ministers to immediately review whether the project should be assessed under Australia’s national environment laws, investigate potential impacts on endangered koalas and habitat connectivity, and consider steps to prevent further habitat loss while that assessment takes place. Join the call for urgent Commonwealth action to ensure this habitat is properly assessed before more trees are cleared.

A former Ormiston College student has also created a petition calling on the college to halt the destruction. Let’s add our voices!
