We supported Animal Free Science Advocacy's campaign on this disturbing issue back in July, calling on the Animal Ethics Committee which approved the research to revoke approval for future experiments of this kind. We are following up now by with PETA's email urging Monash University, the National Health and Medical Research Council, and Animal Welfare Victoria to prohibit the conduct, funding, and permitting of animal strangulation and brain injury experiments, respectively.
